樽見OTO鉄道 Tarumi Sound Railway

岐阜県を走る樽見鉄道にイベント用の車両を連結し、二日間限定の音楽イベントを実施します。

A carriage dedicated to the event will be coupled to trains on the Tarumi Railway in Gifu Prefecture for a two-day music event.

平野部から山あいへ、根尾川に沿って走る樽見鉄道の車窓からは、刻々と変化する豊かな景観を望むことができます。

Following the Neo River from open plains into the mountains, the railway offers views of a rich and ever-changing landscape.

同じ区間を時刻表通りに往来する列車の性質から「車窓の景観との連動」を試みた本イベントでは、景観の変化を捉える独自のツールを開発しています。そのツールと車窓からの景観を素材として、演奏やDJ、サウンドインスタレーションなどの「音」を重ねます。

Drawing on the way trains travel back and forth along the same route according to a timetable, this event explores how sound can respond to the scenery outside the windows. We are developing custom tools to capture changes in the landscape. Using these tools and the views from the train as material, we will layer sound through live performances, DJ sets, and sound installations.

流れる景観を借景としたパフォーマンスの可能性を探りながら、普段の樽見鉄道に重ねた音のレイヤーを通じて、樽見鉄道の場所性を感じる体験を目指します。

By exploring the possibilities of performance that incorporates the passing landscape as “borrowed scenery,” we aim to create an experience in which sound layered onto the everyday setting of the Tarumi Railway allows each person to feel its distinctive sense of place.
